2014 CCHCBT Medicare Update

We hope 2013 has been a great year for you. We are happy to announce that for 2014 there will be no rate increase for our Medicare Secondary Payer plans.

If you are presently covered under either the Medicare Supplement program or the Medicare Basic program and wish to continue your current medical coverage, there is nothing further you need to do at this time. As in previous years, both the Medicare Supplement and Medicare Basic plans will be available with or without prescription drug coverage. However, if you wish to change coverage, please notify us via email at healthcare@pensionfund.org or mail by Dec. 15, 2013 for a Jan. 1, 2014 effective date.

We have established the per person premiums for the two plans for 2014, which are as follows:

Medicare Basic Medicare Supplement
Medical Coverage $157.00 $421.00
Prescription Coverage $164.00 $119.00
Total Premium $321.00 $540.00

We encourage you to continue your coverage through Churchwide Healthcare, as we believe the coverage continues to be far superior to what other similar plans offer.
