Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust Announces 2013 Health Plan Rates

2012 has been a challenging year for the Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust. As we continue to face the challenges of health care inflation and the additional regulations of the Affordable Care Act, we regrettably need to raise health care premiums for 2013.

Health care rates for 2013 will see a 12% rate increase over 2012 health care rates (exception will be if you change age categories).

Our Medicare Basic and Medicare Supplement rates will see a 5% rate increase in 2013.

While no one likes rate increases, it appears double digit increases are the norm in the 2013 health care insurance market for 2013 according to benefit trade papers.

The Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust continues to work hard to balance excellent benefits with premiums to keep costs under control. We appreciate the continued support of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and all the Stone-Campbell Traditions.
