Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust Announces 2014 Health Rate Plans
Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust Announces 2014 Health Plan Rates
INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 2, 2013) - Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust (CCHCBT) is pleased to announce that due to moderated medical inflation in 2013, it will be able to project a smaller rate of increase in premiums in 2014 than in 2013.
Despite ongoing delays, certain objectives of the Affordable Care Act will be implemented in 2014. The impact of these objectives remains uncertain, but Churchwide Health Care will continue to offer its array of health care plans designed to offer the best possible health care coverage for pastors and church employees.
The health care premium rate table for Plan 500 will increase 7 percent from current levels (unless your age category changes, in which case the rate of increase will be larger). The rate tables for all other plans for pre-Medicare active participants show an increase of 4 percent. The higher rate for Plan 500 participants is due to higher plan usage.
Rates for Medicare Basic and Medicare Supplement plans will remain unchanged in 2014.
The Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust continues to balance excellent benefits with premiums to keep costs under control, and appreciates the continued support of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and all Stone-Campbell Heritage ministries.
Christian Church Health Care Benefit Trust (CCHCBT): The CCHCBT and Pension Fund of the Christian Church have been providing church-wide health care coverage since 1972, and dental care coverage since 2004.
