Pastoral Wellness: Supporting & Resourcing the Pastor
Sunday, July 30 - 1:30 p.m.
Presenters: Rev. Julie Richardson & Rev. Aaron Smith
Since the beginning, Pension Fund of the Christian Church has existed “For the Support of Ministry.” How we do that has evolved over the years but today it still rings true. Our mission is to support pastors from day one of their theological training up to and through retirement. This includes serving as a resource for questions like, “How can we best compensate our pastor?” from congregations; and, it includes a host of supportive programs for pastors themselves, all of which seek to tend to the financial, mental and spiritual needs of pastors. This workshop will lift up key resources to support pastors and help congregations and regional leadership understand best practices for caring for pastors.
Creating a Future Focused on Financial Wellness
Monday, July 31 - 10:15 a.m.
Presenters: Rev. Sarah Renfro & Alexis Gammon
Pension Fund seeks to help all clergy and lay employees of the church weather the storms of economic uncertainty and market volatility by helping them prepare for the future with strength, security, and stability. In this workshop, we will identify achievable short and long-term goals and equip you with the resources to create a future that is focused on financial wellness. Understanding that those among us who are most vulnerable may lack access to financial education, we will share how Pension Fund is focusing our efforts on serving those who serve others, especially in areas often overlooked. Join us for this informative and interactive workshop to better prepare for tomorrow and beyond.
