Meet the Your Money Line Financial Guides: Damian Dunn

Hi there! I’m Damian Dunn, and I’m the Principal Financial Guide at Your Money Line. While I have held a number of roles in our department, I’ve been helping individuals solve their financial problems from the first days here at Your Money Line. I am a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and have been since March 2005. During this time, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with families and individuals in every stage of life. At this stage of my career, I know there are multiple ways to solve challenging financial situations. The key is finding the right solution for you!
My role with Your Money Line includes guiding, educating, and consulting on the toughest participant problems. I also work on reaching participants who may not be quite ready to take the step of talking with our Financial Guide team by creating new content that can be consumed in multiple formats (text, audio, and video). Put more directly, if you have access to Your Money Line, my goal is to make your financial life better, regardless of how you engage with us.
I was raised by an entrepreneur who never shied away from sharing numbers with me. From a young age, I was made aware of the importance of sound financial decisions and the consequences of when things didn’t go as planned. I clearly remember having budgets laid out on the kitchen table, seeing spreadsheets, calculating payroll taxes, helping balance the checkbook, and, most importantly, talking about the mistakes that were made and the financial threats we faced. While it was an eye-opening opportunity, it’s one I’m grateful I was trusted with. Through this experience, I learned that it’s okay to talk about money, both personal successes and struggles. I hope to give those I work with a peaceful space to dig into their finances, knowing that they won’t be judged or shamed no matter the circumstances. Everyone has a path forward, and I’m grateful I get to help people down theirs.
